
Reverend Anthony A. Vickers has faithfully served the church community in a wide range of ministerial and leadership capacities. He is the current elected Pastor of Concord MB Church of Kittrell, NC.
Rev. Vickers is a licensed and ordained Baptist preacher. Having been blessed with over 30 years of marriage to his bride Cherylita, they are the proud parents of two daughters, Kaleenda and Aviana.
Rev. Vickers is a qualified Christian counselor and seasoned businessman, holding clinical certification and theological training from the renowned Chicago Baptist Institute, along with a degree in Business from Trinity Christian College. His unique blend of theological depth and business acumen has enabled him to minister effectively across spiritual, administrative, and organizational contexts.
With more than 38 years of ministry experience, Rev. Vickers is no stranger to leadership. His ministerial tenure includes serving as Pastor of Christian Hope Missionary Baptist Church (Chicago, IL), as Associate Minister and Youth Pastor of Baptist Grove Church (Raleigh, NC) and serving as Pastor of Spring Street Missionary Baptist Church (Henderson, NC). He also served five years as President of Christian Hope Credit Union and VTC Enterprises, Inc., experiences that further sharpened his commitment to teamwork, stewardship, and principled leadership.
Rev. Vickers has held both elected and appointed positions within several respected religious organizations, including Financial Secretary of the Salem Baptist District Association; Director of Finance for the Baptist Ministers’ Conference of Chicago and Vicinity; Committee Member of the Appropriations and Constitution Committees of the Salem Baptist District Association; and Finance Committee Member for Late Night Services of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.
Often described as having more combined years of ministerial and accounting experience than life itself, Rev. Vickers has successfully served for many years as a bi-vocational pastor, achieving excellence and balance in both ministry and professional life. He has over 30 years of professional experience in accounting and financial management, having served in roles with Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, as well as nonprofit organizations.
Following decades of faithful service and measurable success, he now teaches and advises fellow ministers on how to navigate ministry with integrity, sustainability, and effectiveness. Passionate about Christian education, Rev. Vickers is deeply committed to developing future leaders and has consistently worked to create meaningful opportunities for Christian youth to discover, develop, and utilize their God-given gifts.
